KAIST NanoBiotech Laboratory

The aim of NanoBiotech Laboratory (NBL) is to carry out research and development on nanobiotechnology and integrative bioengineering. In recent years, NBL has been interested in developing novel microfluidic devices for biotechnology and bioengineering based on the synergetic integration of miniaturization technology in biology, chemistry, and medicine. NBL is currently focusing on the development of a nanobiosensor, microfluidic devices and lab-on-a-chip as a new platform for biological sample processing, separation, and detection, including optoelectrofluidic manipulation, hydrophoretic separation, magnetophoretic assay, and cell-based assay. The research activities of NBL include all aspects of biomolecular diagnostics, micro total analysis system (¥ìTAS), cell-based screening platform, nanobio device, etc.

Áö³­ ¼ö ³â µ¿¾È ¿¬±¸½ÇÀº ³ª³ë±â¼ú°ú ¸¶ÀÌÅ©·Î½Ã½ºÅÛ ±â¼úÀ» Àû¿ë½ÃÄÑ »ý¹°ÇÐ, È­ÇÐ, ÀÇÇÐ ºÐ¾ß¿¡ È°¿ëµÉ ¼ö ÀÖ´Â »õ·Î¿î ¹Ì¼¼À¯Ã¼¼ÒÀÚ °³¹ß¿¡ ÁÖ·ÂÇØ ¿Ô´Ù. ¿¹·Î¼­, »ý¹°ÇÐÀû ½Ã·áÀüó¸®, ºÐ¸®ºÐ¼® ¹× ÃÊ°í°¨µµ °ËÃâÀ» À§ÇÑ ³ª³ë¹ÙÀÌ¿À¼¾¼­, ¹Ì¼¼À¯Ã¼¼ÒÀÚ ¹× ·¦¿Â¾îĨ °³¹ß¿¡ ÁýÁßÇÏ°í ÀÖÀ¸¸ç ¼¼ºÎÀûÀÎ ¿¬±¸ ºÐ¾ß·Î¼­ ±¤ÀüÀÚÀ¯Ã¼Á¦¾î ±â¼úÀ» ÀÌ¿ëÇÑ ¼¼Æ÷ ¹× ¹Ì¼¼ÀÔÀÚÀÇ Á¶ÀÛ, ¹Ì¼¼À¯Ã¼Á¦¾î ±â¹Ý À¯Ã¼¿µµ¿ ¹× Àڱ⿵µ¿ ºÐ¼®±â¼ú, ±×¸®°í ¼¼Æ÷±â¹Ý ¹Ì¼¼ºÐ¼®½Ã½ºÅÛ µî¿¡ ´ëÇÑ ½Ç¿ëÀûÀÎ ¹ÙÀÌ¿ÀÀ¶ÇÕ ¿¬±¸¸¦ ¼öÇàÇÏ°í ÀÖ´Ù.
